Paddle Symposium

Due to the success of September’s Youth Paddling Symposium we will be hosting a similar event from the 25th- 27th March 2016. As before this event will be hosted by the Urdd’s Outdoor Outreach Service on the banks of Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake).

The weekend will consist of a variety of workshops for ages 12 – 18 of any ability, with the main focus on enjoyment and development of the paddlers taking part.

The event will be hosted at Gwersyll Yr Urdd Glan Llyn outdoor activity centre who are familiar with hosting such events, being home to the Canoe Symposium 2016 and Pyranha Fest in the past. The weekend will be based out of Glan Llyn with workshops taking place onsite in the 15 Metre indoor Swimming Pool, on Llyn Tegid or at one of the many white water venues local to the centre i.e. Tryweryn, JJ’s Llangollen.

Whether you feel you are at an introductory level, advanced or just fancy something a bit different we will have the right activities for you, with all workshops being run by our team of seasoned paddle sport professionals.

Below is a list of activities taking place:

  • Rolling Clinic - For those starting from scratch or looking to gain some handy hints on perfecting their roll in our 15m heated indoor swimming pool.
