Enjoy creating content for social media? Want experience presenting behind the camera? Or an opportunity to publish a blog?


During the 2020 Urdd Eisteddfod 2020 in Denbigh there are opportunities to gain experiences in media work as social media presenter and content creator with the Urdd Eisteddfod, and as media reporter with the Voice magazine in partnership with Trinity College London.

Social media presenters and content creators

We're looking for two individuals to be the faces of our social media during the 2020 Urdd Eisteddfod in Denbigh.

You will need to be:

  • Aged 18-25 during Eisteddfod week (24 - 30 May 2020)
  • Available from May 24 - 30 to be on the Maes daily
  • Available to take part in briefings in Denbigh and be available for an afternoon of training nearer the time (date to be confirmed)
  • Experienced or interested in developing presenting skills and being comfortable in front of a camera and microphone
  • Able to prepare scripts and interviews and have the confidence to chat and interview people around the Maes
  • Confident using Instagram and TikTok
  • Located near Denbigh with a way to travel safely to the event and back everyday you are on site

You will receive:

  • Presenting and interview training from an experienced presenter
  • Content creation training using professional tools
  • Pay for every day you are on site
  • Food for every day you are on site
  • Admission to the Maes every day
  • Experience being part of the festival communications team
  • Opportunities to develop skills in presenting, interviewing and content creation

Media reporter with Voice magazine

Voice is a magazine for young creatives covering arts, culture, politics and technology.  We are working with Trinity College London to support two young people to cover the Urdd festival.  Supported by an experienced event reporter from our team, you will create short videos, blogs and reviews about the event and the people taking part.  The features you create will be published on Voice and Trinity College London’s websites, social media channels and blogs.

You will need to:

  • Be aged 16-25 at the time of the festival
  • Be available for the week 25-30 May and onsite for at least 2 days
  • Have a keen interest in the arts including music, poetry or dance
  • Be willing to produce good quality content under guidance from our team
  • Produce content in both Welsh and English
  • Participate in briefings and planning calls with our team beforehand
  • Create a review or piece of content on Voice in Aprilso we can offer feedback and further training
  • Be based near Denbigh with a way to safely travel to/from the event each day you’re on site
