The Urdd Eisteddfod, but not as you know it.

Eisteddfod T is a virtual festival held for the first time in 2020 during the lockdown period, giving children and young people from Wales and beyond a chance to take part in a virtual, fun-filled Eisteddfod from the comfort of their homes.

“Make yourself comfortable on the sofa, switch your mobiles to silent, and give it up for the next contestant… Eisteddfod T is back!”

Singing, lip-syncing and celebrity impersonations – from the traditional to TikTok, Urdd Gobaith Cymru have announced that Eisteddfod T is back for the second year running and the organisers promise a “more experimental, progressive and exciting festival than ever before” to be held during Whitsun half-term.

12,000 participated in Eisteddfod T 2021!

Many thanks to the 12,000 who have already participated in this year's Eisteddfod T from Môn to Monmouth and from Trelew to Dubai! It is an incredible total which ensures the judges will have their work cut out as they receive their designated competitions!

A huge thank you to the competitors, teachers and accompanists, editors, and registrants and to everyone who patiently filmed themselves and others over the last few weeks. We really appreciate your support and commitment to ensured that we will have an Eisteddfod to remember in late May and early June.

Looking forward to May!

Eisteddfod T will be broadcast on S4C, Radio Cymru and across a variety of digital platforms on Social Media from Monday 31 May to 4 June! Once again, this year there will be daily challenges presented during Eisteddfod T for all to compete with a different challenge being set during the Eisteddfod broadcast live on S4C.

In the meantime, remember to follow the Urdd Eisteddfod's twitter and facebook account to keep up to date with news and Eisteddfod T announcements
