Levi initially started working at our Llangrannog Centre on a part-time basis, before seeing an opportunity to join as an apprentice, and he now works as an Activity Officer at the Centre. Levi started as a Level 2 Sport, Leisure and Active Wellbeing apprentice, before progressing to a Level 3 Outdoor Programmes qualification. For this Level 3 qualification, Levi needed to complete a Level 3 Communication qualification as part of this apprenticeship. This required additional work, but with the guidance of his assessor and the help of our HWB tutor, Levi was also able to complete this.
During his time as an apprentice, Levi's confidence rose significantly, and he now feels he can talk with anyone. Levi has benefited from many different experiences during his apprenticeship - he loves working with the horses and has also gained a Lowland Leader qualification, which allows him to lead groups on the coast with confidence, as well as an understanding of the dangers and benefits of being outdoors.
When we asked Levi what he might say to someone who’s considering taking on an apprenticeship, he advised "go for it, I haven't regretted it once!". Levi has seen a significant change in himself since starting his apprenticeship and now feels that he has improved both his confidence and knowledge.
