A step by step guide to compete in Eisteddfod yr Urdd
The first step is to create an account and a profile on our online syste, Y Porth.
Become a member of the Urdd
After creating an account and profile within ‘Y Porth’, you can become an Urdd member yourself (if over 16 years of age) or register your children as Urdd members.
The Syllabus includes all 350+ Eisteddfod competitions, whether they’re performing on stage, Homework, CogUrdd or Art, Design and Technology. Each competition will note its piece, including where you can order or receive them.
The Syllabus contains general rules of competitions and also rules for specific divisions. You will need to familiarise yourself with all the rules here.
Registration for all competitions can be done through your account on Y Porth. You can register individual competitions as a parent, but the school/branch will need to register duet and group competitions.
When registering you must ensure that the competition is correct, and that you have completed the membership process. Please ensure that self-selected pieces have been uploaded, including copyright for these pieces.
