Eisteddfod yr Urdd x Charanga Cymru x Gwasanaeth Cerdd Cenedlaethol Cymru

You can now access a selection of Eisteddfod yr Urdd’s 2026 backing tracks on the Charanga Cymru platform!

In addition to Unison Parties and Choirs and Solos and Duets for primary and secondary school students, there are also Adran Parties and Choir pieces.

In the documentation section, you’ll find a list of publishers for the backing tracks provided, an introduction to music theory to help interpret the sheet music, and a teacher guide on how to share the tracks with your students so they can practice at home.

Your students can also use YuStudio, our beginner-friendly DAW, to support their entries in the festival’s Composing Music categories.

By providing this valuable resource, we hope to develop the opportunities that children and teachers have to take part in Wales' main cultural youth festival, ensuring that the Urdd is for everyone.
