6th Form and Colleges Courses

Annually, we run an A Level Welsh revision course (first and second language) in collaboration with Bangor University, which includes lectures, visits, and workshops led by the most prominent contributors to the Welsh language. The Outdoor Service has developed a number of units that are part of the BTEC Sports, Work Skills, and Public Services program. Some of the units linked to the BTEC qualifications include an element related to the outdoors. Individuals can complete practical and/or theoretical elements of the units under the guidance and supervision of Outdoor Service staff. A list of modules is available on the Outdoor Service page.

Undergraduate Geography Fieldwork Course - Organized in collaboration with the Department of Geography and Earth Sciences, Aberystwyth University

Welsh-Medium Course: October 12-14, 2026

Bilingual Course: October 19-21, 2026

Welsh and Welsh Second Language Course (University/Undergraduate Level) - Organized in collaboration with the Department of Welsh, Bangor University

Welsh First Language Course: November 2-4, 2026

Welsh Second Language Course: November 23-25, 2026

Timetable

The timetable is arranged to align with the academic work of the subjects, but students will be given the opportunity to attend some outdoor and social activities during the three days.
