Y Sgwrs - a series of digital events for ages 14-25 covering issues that affect young people's lives today.

Coming up are expert-led sessions via Zoom covering mental health, climate change, women's rights, LGBT, sexual health, career advice and more.

In these turbulent times, we're keen to give young people a safe space to talk openly, learn from experts or to simply listen anonymously for answers to the issues that affect them.

There’s no pressure to contribute to the sessions - you can listen anonymously, learn from the experts and ask questions without turning on your camera.

How to take part?

1. Register online by clicking on the Register link on your selected session.

2. On the day of the session you will receive a link and passcode for access to the session.

3. Once you have inputted the passcode you will head into a 'Waiting Room', we will then give permission for you to join the session.

Do I have to keep my camera on?

No you don't need to leave your camera on during the session if you are not happy to do so.

Am I expected to talk or contribute during the session?

No not at all, the important thing is that you get out of the session what you want.  But you are obviously welcome to talk and cotribute if you would like to.

What if some starts making fun of me?

There will be trained Urdd staff sat in the backgrung monitoring all aspects of the session to keep you all safe and happy.

Can I register for more than one session?

Of course you can, you are very welcome to join all sessions if you would like to.

Will we be warned if a part of a discussion could cause 'triggers'?

During the sessions if any part of the topic and or discussion could cause triggers the leader of the session notify you all by using the word 'Trigger', at that point you may mute your mic and sound.  Once the discussion is over we will let you all know and you can rejoin the session.

Why do I need to fill in a registration form?

We ask all our young people wanting to join our session to register to protect you all and also so that we know how many to expect in the session.  Please be assured the Urdd will not share your details with any other third party (unless there is a child protection issue).
