Welsh Learners / Dysgwyr Cymraeg
Looking to learn Welsh or need an opportunity to practice? Immerse yourself in the Welsh language on our residential course and chat with staff, participants and locals to practice your Welsh skills, or see how we live day-to day life in the language. We can support you with any Welsh course you are completing or even give you an introduction to the language through our Dysgu Cymraeg course! Here's the main activities for the residential week, as well as an example timetable to show you how the course looks over the week. The timetable will be confirmed at the start of the course as each activity depends on the weather.

Come and stay in our Glan Llyn residential centre, next to Llyn Tegid in Bala. With new accommodation blocks, stay in Tŷ Eirys of in Glan Llyn Isa' for the week where there's comfortable ensuite rooms, lounge and small kitchen to have a cuppa at the end of the day. You'll also have access to a drying room for the week to ensure your shoes and wetsuits are dry for the next adventure!
Food is provided all week, with at least 3 meals a day, and we can cater for all dietary requirements - there will be a questionnaire to complete after booking. We will also use the outdoor cooking area or bushcraft area to cook our evening meal a couple of nights - a great opportunity to learn some new skills and enjoy cooking and eating as a group.
Every morning we will pick up a pack lunch if we are heading offsite for the day. You are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks for the week and there's a fridge in every accommodation block if needed. On the way back from some activities, we may stop to pop to the shop or have a walk around Bala or Betws y Coed. You are welcome to buy any food or drink in addition to the main meals you receive from the centre.
