Background and Purpose of the Information Technology Board

The Information Technology Board provides strategic guidance on how technology supports the vision of Urdd Gobaith Cymru. The board ensures that the Urdd’s digital infrastructure, IT systems, information security, and IT and data strategy are developed effectively and in line with the charity’s core values.

Role of the Information Technology Board

  • Support the Head of Information Technology in shaping the Urdd’s strategic IT plan and approve the final version
  • Provide guidance and support on digital infrastructure and systems, cybersecurity, data strategy, and technological innovation
  • Ensure that technology is used effectively, safely, and ethically to improve service delivery
  • Share guidance and support in specific areas of professional expertise
  • Submit recommendations to the Urdd’s Board of Trustees
  • Monitor IT risks, security, and compliance
  • Submit recommendations to the Urdd’s Board of Trustees

We are appointing up to 3 members to the IT Board

There are up to 3 vacant seats and we are looking for experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Infrastructure
  • IT Operations and Services
  • Data Strategy
  • IT Risk Management
  • Digital Transformation
  • Emerging Technologies and Artificial Intelligence
