The Urdd is a charity and is overseen by a Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees has overall responsibility and accountability for everything the charity does.

We value the expertise of our trustees.  They are all volunteers, and they use their skills and experience to support the Urdd's staff to achieve its strategy and objectives.

On the Urdd's Board of Trustees, 2 places are allocated to young people aged 18-25,  All trustees serve an initial 3-year tenure, following which there are options to re-elect for a further period.

The Urdd's trustees usually meet formally up to 5 times a year to review the charity’s work and make any major decisions about its strategy.

The Urdd’s governance structure comprises of 6 strategic boards that reports back to the Board of Trustees. 

The Urdd has 81 volunteers on its central boards.
