Attend a Communications Course at the University of Florida!

Are you a member of the Urdd and passionate about communication, journalism or the media? This is your chance to apply for a place on an exciting course that offers unique and practical experiences at a first class University!

The Urdd is offering a special opportunity to 4 members from schools years 11 and 12 to apply to be part of a 6-day communication course in the University of Florida, USA in June 2025!

Course Dates: Travel out on 21/06/2025 (6 days on the course) then return back to Wales on the 28/06/2025

• The successful applicants must be over 16 years old on the first date of the course. 
• The first night you will stay in a hotel in Florida with some free time, then you will be on campus throughout the course under the care of the University.
• A member of Urdd staff will be with you.
• The course will be fully funded by the Urdd and the University of Florida, which includes your travel costs, accommodation and food. 
• There is no need to prepare for the course, but we expect applications from individuals who want to develop skills in this area.
• Attendees will be expected to share rooms with other students on the cours
• Please make sure you have a valid passport (with a minimum of 6 months ' validity) before you apply!
