Celebrate St David’s Day in America!
We are offering a unique opportunity for four talented Urdd members, aged 21–25, to travel to the United States and perform in New York and Philadelphia as part of St David’s Day celebrations. The visit is organised and funded in partnership with the North American Welsh Societies and the Urdd.
This is the fifth consecutive year that Urdd members have had the opportunity to enjoy this unique experience.
We are looking for:
One soprano
One alto
One tenor
One bass
Apply as a quartet, a duet, or as an individual performer; all are welcome. If selected, you will be responsible for rehearsing together and preparing your own programme.
If you’re applying as a duet or quartet, you’re also welcome to apply as an individual.
Your performance set will consist of (but not limited to):
2 solo pieces (per singer)
4 group performances
A couple of smaller ensemble pieces
Dates and Travel
Departure: Thursday27 February (flying from London Heathrow)
Return: Over night flight Sunday 8 March, arriving London early morning Monday 9 March
Additional Information
You will be travelling on behalf of the Urdd, with travel, accommodation covered by the North American Welsh Societies and the Urdd. A member of Urdd staff will accompany you throughout the visit.
This is a unique chance to represent Wales, showcase your voice on an international stage, and be part of a memorable celebration of Welsh culture abroad.

To apply, you must:
Be aged 21–25on the first day of the visit (27February)
Be a member of the Urdd
Hold a valid passport (minimum 6 months validity from date of return)
Confirm that you have no reason you cannot obtain an ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) to travel to the USA
