Specific requirements for Board members aged 18-25

We are looking for members aged 18-25 to sit on each of the boards.
All board members aged 18-25 will meet nationally as required and will be mentored and supported by the individual departments, chair and board members and Urdd central services staff.
We welcome applications from individuals who wish to contribute to the Urdd's work and gain experience and skills that will benefit them at the start of their careers.

Experience and specialist knowledge is not essential for this role and we welcome applications based on the following key skills:

  • Understanding and commitment to the aim of Urdd Gobaith Cymru
  • Understand and appreciate the impact of the Urdd’s provision on the lives of children and young people
  • Willingness to ask the "what if" and "what next" questions.
  • Show respect and courtesy to other Board members, staff, and volunteers
  • Effective Welsh Language communication skills
  • Willingness to express opinions and welcome new ideas and approaches and to consider creative solutions to improve the Urdd’s provision.
